The Chamonix to Zermatt Glacier Haute Route. In late August 2017, we ran the tour in mountain running gear, running shoes, and all the necessary glacier travel and crevasse rescue gear. On the last day, after leaving the Stockjigletscher, the route is all trails and mostly running all the way to Zermatt, with the Matterhorn and Dent d'Hérens in the background.
