In May 2023, Dan Patitucci and Kim Strom traveled to Nepal's Khumbu Valley to trail run and prepare for a big project of running the 3 Passes Trek in one day. The duo trained and prepared by walking up Gokyo Valley before arriving to Chukhung, where they stayed for two weeks. There they enjoyed good weather until the very day they departed for the one day push.
